Role Purpose

Enable company strategy by driving purposeful procurement and value creation for customers while safeguarding Maersk's cost-competitive position. You will operate with significant responsibility from the start, executing and delivering on time against purposeful targets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Category Management

• Define category strategy for your portfolio in line with global and regional category strategy to create value for customers by partnering with the right suppliers.
• Ensure strategy supports Must Win Battles for Procurement around Environment & Sustainability, Resilience, and Digitalization.
• Develop new models to analyze supplier offers and quantify total costs and total values of ownership.

Analytics & Spend Management

• Map and analyze data on current spend patterns and identify cost drivers and opportunities in complex marketplaces.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills with preferably good experience in financial and Excel modeling.

Negotiations & Supplier Management

• Lead negotiations with suppliers by preparing comprehensive negotiation strategies.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships aligned with category objectives.

Contract & Compliance Management

• Ensure contract compliance by updating relevant information in contract management tools.

Stakeholder Communication

• Simplify and effectively communicate complex messages to leadership.
• Understand stakeholder management excellence and build trust in challenging situations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; preferably also an MBA or Master's degree.
• Solid work experience focusing on procurement or sales.
• Experience with sourcing strategy, negotiations, cost modeling, and project management.

Additional Information

• Annual spend under scope: approximately USD 300 million.
