Role Overview
Cashier at Majid Al Futtaim (MAF LifeStyle, Operations). This role involves managing cash register systems, processing sales transactions, and delivering exceptional customer service across all points of the shopping experience.
Role Purpose
To operate cash handling systems, process customer transactions, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting the sales team and maintaining store standards to drive maximum sales and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet, assist, and serve customers on the shop floor at all points in the shopping experience.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Store Manager when necessary.
Sales Support
- Maintain awareness and understanding of product range and current in-store promotion details.
- Share product and promotion information with customers to encourage sales.
- Support sales teams as required through the sales process, ensuring maximum benefit to the business.
- Achieve set sales targets and use creative ways to exceed targets, keeping the customer in mind.
Cash Operations
- Operate the cash register and receive payments in all authorized modes.
- Issue receipts and bills against purchases.
- Ensure cash desk standards are maintained at all times, including cleanliness, tidiness, and replenishment.
Store Operations
- Complete store opening and closing checklists in a timely manner.
- Manage stock-related activities including delivery, tracking, replenishment, availability, and display.
Security & Risk Management
- Monitor potential security risks and escalate issues or concerns where necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Certificate.
- 1–2 years of industry experience.
- Experience in retail or luxury retail environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Good communication skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Fluent in English.
