Role Overview
Cashier at Bloomingdale's Dubai Mall, operated by Al Tayer Group, based in Dubai.
Role Purpose
Execute all cash and credit transactions with accuracy and integrity while delivering high-quality customer service, maintaining secure custody of company funds, and upholding accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Cash & Payment Processing
- Receive cash and all authorized payment modes from customers.
- Issue receipts and bills against customer purchases.
- Reconcile cash and credit receipts with daily sales figures.
- Prepare daily cash summary reports for submission to the Accountant.
Financial Safeguarding & Compliance
- Maintain safe custody of all cash received and related financial documents.
- Deposit cash and cheques in the bank daily to protect company funds.
- Monitor petty cash usage and authorize payments only for approved items or emergency miscellaneous purchases.
- Submit petty cash accounts periodically to the Store Manager or Deputy Floor Manager for verification and sanction to prevent misuse of funds.
Customer Service & Communications
- Answer phone calls and customer queries in a professional manner.
- Deliver efficient customer service to enhance the company's image.
Operational Monitoring
- Keep count of customer traffic entering the shop.
- Compile relevant customer traffic information on a daily basis.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School qualification.
- 2 to 3 years experience in a similar field.

- Pleasant personality and good grooming.
- Customer service orientation.
- Highly organised with attention to detail.
