Role Overview
Carpenter at Radisson Resort Al Marjan Island, Radisson Hotel Group. This position is based at the resort property.

Role Purpose
Maintain and repair all carpentry and joinery works throughout the resort, including furnishings, fixtures, and installations. Ensure the property is in excellent working condition while adhering to safety standards and supporting the Engineering Department's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Repair and Maintenance
- Repair and maintain all carpentry and joinery works.
- Perform minor repairs and replacements to all hinges and door closures.
- Repair and maintain all furnishings, including chairs, tables, cabinets and similar items.
- Carry out minor constructions and installations.
Materials and Tools
- Work with wood, fibre-board, Formica, glass and plasterboard.
- Use appropriate safety clothing and equipment as required.
- Follow all maintenance instructions as laid down by the Head of Department.
Inventory and Reporting
- Provide the Store Controller with information to facilitate accurate stock control of materials.
- Report any potential hazards noted whilst on duty.
Safety, Standards and Appearance
- Ensure the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair.
- Maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a Guest Area; change into a clean uniform if necessary, unless it is an emergency.
- Strictly adhere to hotel safety, risk management and emergency policies and procedures.
- Keep working area tidy and in good order.
Support and Flexibility
- Assist other personnel in emergencies and carry out other Engineering duties as required by the Assistant Chief Engineer and according to departmental needs.
- Attend on-job and off-job trainings when assigned.
- Follow all department and hotel policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical certification in Carpentry.
- 2–5 years of experience in hotel or building maintenance.
- Knowledge of water systems, pumps, and sanitary installations.
Skills & Competencies
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work shifts and respond to emergencies.
