The company has the expertise to carry out full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and brings intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through localized services.

Role Purpose

The Cable Jointer (HV) performs expert jointing, termination, and installation of high-voltage power cables on Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards while supporting commissioning and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Cable Jointing & Termination

• Carry out jointing and termination of HV / MV / LV power cables as per approved procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
• Perform installation of straight-through joints, outdoor and indoor terminations, and cable sealing ends.
• Handle XLPE, PVC, armored and unarmored power cables and associated accessories.

Installation & Preparation

• Prepare cable routes, cable dressing, glanding, lugging, ferruling, and termination works.
• Ensure proper heat shrink, cold shrink, and resin jointing techniques are applied as per standards.

Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct insulation resistance checks and continuity tests.
• Support commissioning activities.

Technical Coordination

• Read and interpret single line diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, and electrical drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, supervisors, and QA/QC teams for inspections and testing.

Maintenance & Support

• Troubleshoot cable faults and support maintenance and repair activities when required.

Site Management & Safety

• Maintain tools, jointing kits, and ensure quality workmanship at site.
• Follow strict HSE procedures, PTW system, LOTO requirements, and safe work practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5+ years of experience as an HV Cable Jointer in Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of cable jointing kits such as Raychem, Nexans, Prysmian, 3M or equivalent.
• Valid safety certifications are preferred.
