Role Overview
C++ Software Engineer (Market Data Systems) at MIRA Construction. This is a remote position available globally.
Role Purpose
Build and optimize the critical data infrastructure that powers quantitative trading operations. You will design robust, high-performance systems to ingest, process, and distribute massive volumes of real-time financial market data with ultra-low latency while navigating complex edge cases and scaling systems to meet growing demand.
Key Responsibilities
Exchange Connectivity
- Build robust gateways to connect with new financial exchanges globally.
- Integrate exchange connectivity across emerging and established markets.
Performance Optimization
- Fine-tune existing data connectors to minimize ingestion latency.
- Maximize data throughput across the pipeline.
Data Architecture
- Implement support for new and emerging data structures within the data pipeline.
- Evolve data models to accommodate new asset types.
- Refactor and re-architect existing solutions to ensure infrastructure scales alongside growing market volumes.
- Modernize legacy systems for scale.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience writing clean, efficient code using modern C++ standards (C++17/20).
- Proven track record managing, parsing, and processing massive streams of incoming real-time data.
- Prior engineering experience in High-Frequency Trading (HFT), telecom routing, or high-performance game engines.
- Deep expertise in ultra-low latency, sub-microsecond real-time development.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of multithreaded programming and concurrent systems.
- Expert knowledge of CPU memory models.
- Solid grasp of network protocols and communication layers.
- Linux system internals.
- Strong foundational knowledge of core algorithms and data structures.
- Professional level of written and spoken English for seamless international collaboration.
