Role Overview
Business Development Officer - SME - Sales at Mashreq.
Role Purpose
Drive new business banking acquisition for small and medium enterprises, develop customer relationships, and generate fee income across multiple banking products and services while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Acquisition
- Source new to business banking current accounts.
- Present and sell all business banking products and services to potential customers in an ethical, structured, and professional manner.
- Achieve monthly sales targets in the financial year.
- Handle objections with a view to increase take-up rates.
- Prospect in targeted markets that require meeting standards in phone calls and face-to-face visits.
Revenue Generation
- Ensure the account is funded as per expectations defined in KPI.
- Generate fee income for the bank including Foreign Exchange, Trade, Bancassurance, and Deposits.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain and develop relationships with customers to enhance cross-sell opportunities.
- Record all sales activities in Daily Sales Reports and update CRM for leads and contacts.
Compliance & Governance
- Adhere to the Bank's KYC and AML policy.
- Ensure that KYC guidelines are adhered to while onboarding business banking customers.
- Participate in mandatory compliance and fraud trainings.
Marketing & Engagement
- Conduct micro marketing activities that include participation in various Business Banking events and other direct marketing activities.
- Participate in all team activities including morning huddles, training and coaching, Lean and rewards celebrations.
