Role Purpose

Supervise, manage and support subcontractors to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specifications under safe conditions. Act as the in-charge representative of building discipline, ensuring quality, safety, progress and productivity objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Documentation

• Prepare construction execution plan including safety and quality policy, construction schedule, budget management and subcontractor management strategy, and obtain CM approval in advance of construction implementation.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly construction reports.
• Prepare Method Statements based on specification and requirements.
• Prepare JSA or equivalent documents based on specification and requirements.
• Plan and revise construction schedule according to overall project schedule and site conditions.

Review & Approval

• Review and approve construction execution plans from subcontractors covering safety and quality policy, manpower and equipment mobilization plan, temporary facility plan and material control plan.
• Review, approve and manage all letters and construction documents from and to subcontractors including Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports, Work Orders, Method Statements, Material Approval Requests, Work Permits and Letters.
• Review and understand Subcontract Agreements covering Scope of Work, Terms and Conditions, and Definition and Measurement.

Quality & Safety Oversight

• Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
• Supervise and ensure safe conditions at construction site in cooperation with safety department.

Progress & Productivity Management

• Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
• Manage construction productivity to the maximum.
• Evaluate and prepare reports for construction progress and programs.

Materials & Coordination

• Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials are available in advance of construction implementation.
• Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.

Subcontractor Management

• Review and approve subcontractor plans for manpower, equipment and schedule.
• Manage claims from and to subcontractors.
• Perform final settlement with subcontractors.
• Organize and manage construction organization for own discipline.

Knowledge Management & Training

• Record B/P (Best Practice) and L/L (Lessons Learned).
• Educate and train juniors consistently.

Stakeholder Communication

• Communicate with client consistently to discuss and resolve any construction issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Construction experience in an oil, gas, petrochemical or power plants as supervisor.
• Engineering and Construction Company working experience in Middle East is preferred.
