Role Purpose

Support the Engineering team in maintaining hotel building systems by operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), electrical systems, and HVAC infrastructure. The role focuses on identifying faults, carrying out troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal hotel building performance.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Room Management & Building Management Systems

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain GRMS (Guest Room Management System).
• Understand BMS (Building Management System) graphics, controllers, sensors, alarms, and field devices.
• Troubleshoot GRMS/BMS issues including room controllers, sensors, thermostats, actuators, relays, communication faults, and control wiring.
• Monitor and troubleshoot communication between BMS/GRMS controllers and field devices.
• Coordinate with BMS/GRMS vendors during testing, commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting.

HVAC Systems

• Troubleshoot HVAC systems, including FCU (Fan Coil Unit), AHU (Air Handling Unit), thermostats, control valves, actuators, fans, motors, and related control circuits.
• Support HVAC technicians in diagnosing electrical and control-related faults.

Electrical & Control Systems

• Identify electrical and control faults using electrical testing instruments.
• Check and troubleshoot 24V control circuits, relays, contactors, sensors, and actuators.
• Read and understand electrical drawings, control wiring diagrams, and system schematics.

Maintenance & Operations

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical and control systems.
• Attend guest room complaints related to AC, temperature control, lighting, occupancy sensors, and GRMS functions.
• Maintain records of faults, repairs, preventive maintenance, and spare parts.
• Follow hotel safety procedures and electrical safety standards.
• Support other Engineering activities when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or technical qualification in Electrical, Electronics, HVAC, or Building Automation.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in hotels or commercial buildings.
• Practical knowledge of GRMS and BMS systems.
• Good understanding of HVAC electrical and control systems.
• Experience with hotel GRMS systems is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to use a multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, and other electrical testing tools.
• Ability to read electrical and control drawings.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, controllers, sensors, actuators, relays, and communication networks.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
