Role Purpose

Conduct advanced research and development on blockchain foundational technologies, cryptographic systems, and security infrastructure to support Bybit's custody and wallet solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Development

• Participate in research and tooling development for blockchain foundational technologies including cryptography, smart contracts, and consensus mechanisms.
• Conduct in-depth research and implementation of MPC algorithms.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the company's private key signing system.
• Conduct in-depth security research on TEE-based solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Solid understanding of cryptography fundamentals, including homomorphic encryption, secret sharing, and zero-knowledge proofs.
• Proficient in at least one mainstream MPC protocol such as GG18, FROST, MST, or TSS with practical coding experience.
• Published papers, patents, or public talks in MPC, TSS, or ZKP preferred.
• Hands-on experience implementing low-level libraries in ZK or MPC preferred.
• Experience with custodial or MPC wallet solutions such as Fireblocks, ZenGo, or Qredo preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in Go, Rust, or C++.
• Ability to read and understand cryptographic library source code.
• Familiarity with libraries such as libOTe, EMP-toolkit, MP-SPDZ, zkp.js, or tss-lib preferred.
• Fast learner with sharp analytical thinking.
• Clear logical reasoning.
• Strong security mindset.
• Good team collaboration skills.
