Structural BIM Modeler at El Seif Engineering Contracting. Full-time position.

Role Purpose
The Structural BIM Modeler is responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining accurate structural 3D models including steel, concrete, and hybrid systems within a Building Information Modelling environment. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, producing detailed shop drawings, ensuring models align with project standards, and supporting the design-to-construction workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Modeling and Design
- Develop detailed 3D structural models including beams, slabs, and columns using Revit or other BIM software in line with project Level of Development requirements (LOD 350, 400, and 500).
- Set up families and libraries for structural systems.
- Generate structural plans, sections, elevations, and detailed shop drawings from models.
Coordination and Clash Detection
- Coordinate with other disciplines (Civil, Architectural, and MEP) to detect and resolve clashes and ensure accuracy and quality.
- Ensure compliance with LOD, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), company standards, and project-specific requirements.
Drawing Production and Documentation
- Prepare coordinated shop drawings, sections, and schedules from the BIM model.
- Export models and drawings for submission in required formats (DWG, IFC, PDFs).
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of BIM files.
Model Updates and Quality Assurance
- Update models to reflect design changes, RFIs, and site modifications.
- Conduct model quality checks and audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Support project engineers and managers by providing accurate quantity take-offs and data from models.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of structural systems: steel, concrete, and precast.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and generate full structural drawing packages.
- Familiarity with international structural standards and sizes.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools.
- Understanding of common data environments (for example, ACC/BIM 360).
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.
