Role Purpose
Ensure that all Beach and Recreational area activities are completed in a timely and effective way, maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, equipment management, guest service and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Follow all guidelines of the Recreation Department operational SOPs and task lists as provided.
- Organize, clean and maintain the entire Recreation Area and back offices.
- Carry out daily cleaning of the facility, plus weekly and monthly tasks as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor or Assistant Recreation Manager.
- Perform all tasks as detailed in daily task lists and checklists.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work area at all times.
- Set up workstations with necessary supplies along with maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
Equipment & Resources Management
- Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned, stored and is secure when not in use.
- Take towels to and from the laundry ensuring an adequate operational stock is maintained at all times.
- Ensure that amenities are always available for guests.
Guest Service & Experience
- Ensure excellent customer service and standards at all times.
- Focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
- Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously.
- Provide amenities services to Clubs and Hotels guests as outlined in SOP or as directed by supervisor.
- Have full understanding of the Recreation's activities and events services.
Compliance & Procedures
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all company and department policies and procedures.
- Behave in a professional manner when on and off duty.
- Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting or charging fees for Recreation.
- Have complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the hotel, in particular all sports and leisure activities and equipment.
Additional Duties
- Carry out other duties as required by management from time to time, such as but not limited to lateral service in other parts of the hotel and overnight cleaning.
- Participate in work-related project teams.
- Develop and maintain a strong working environment with other departments.
- Be prepared to assume other Recreation duties or responsibilities as requested by management.
- Drive revenues for the department.
Additional Information
- Willingness to perform lateral service in other parts of the hotel as needed.
- Availability for overnight cleaning duties as required.
