Role Purpose
Ensure all beach and recreational area activities are completed in a timely and effective manner, maintaining high operational standards and exceptional guest service across all recreation facilities and amenities.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Follow all guidelines of the Recreation Department operational SOPs and task lists as provided.
- Organize, clean and maintain the entire recreation area and back offices.
- Carry out daily cleaning of the facility, plus weekly and monthly tasks as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor or Assistant Recreation Manager.
- Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned, stored and is secure when not in use.
- Take towels to and from the laundry ensuring adequate operational stock is maintained at all times.
- Set up workstations with necessary supplies along with maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work area at all times.
- Perform all tasks as detailed in daily task list and checklist.
Guest Service & Amenities
- Ensure excellent customer service and standards at all times and behave professionally when on and off duty.
- Focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous, and accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously.
- Provide amenities services to clubs and hotel guests as outlined in SOP or as directed by supervisor.
- Ensure that amenities are always available for guests.
- Maintain complete knowledge of Recreation's activities and events services.
- Develop a complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the hotel, in particular all sports and leisure activities and equipment.
Compliance & Financial Management
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all company and department policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting or charging fees for Recreation.
- Drive revenues for the department.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Carry out other duties as required by management from time to time, such as but not limited to lateral service in other parts of the hotel and overnight cleaning.
- Participate in work-related project teams.
- Develop and maintain a strong working environment with other departments.
- Be prepared to assume other Recreation duties or responsibilities as requested by management.
Additional Information
- Full understanding of Recreation facilities and activities required.
- Willingness to perform lateral service in other hotel departments as needed.
