Bartender

Role Overview

Bartender position at Marriott International. The role is based on-site at a Marriott hotel location.

Role Purpose

Create memorable and unique guest experiences through expert beverage knowledge, service excellence, and hospitality. Bartenders own the guest experience both behind the bar and across the broader hotel environment, anticipating and meeting evolving guest needs while maintaining flawless bar operations.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Hospitality

• Build relationships with guests and colleagues across the hotel and in the community to anticipate and deliver on guest needs.
• Take ownership of guest service beyond the bar itself, doing what needs to be done to support the broader hotel experience.
• Host the bar space with passion and attention to detail in all guest interactions.

Bar Operations & Expertise

• Use knowledge and expertise to make the bar look and function flawlessly.
• Stay current with beverage trends, micro-local offerings, and evolving guest preferences.
• Deliver quality drinks consistently.

Workplace Standards

• Create and maintain a safe workplace.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance remain professional.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Physical Demands

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
