Role Overview

Bartender at Accor's 25hours Hotel One Central in Dubai. This role is part of a contemporary luxury hotel that reinterprets Bedouin traditions and sits with a view of the Museum of the Future near the Dubai International Financial Center.

Role Purpose

Deliver knowledgeable and bespoke bar service by meeting guest needs, preparing beverages to defined standards, processing transactions, and maintaining the bar environment to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Experience

• Identify and meet guests' needs and provide appropriate bar services.
• Assist guests with recommendations and upsell opportunities to provide knowledgeable and bespoke service.
• Recognize customer dissatisfaction promptly and take action to resolve the situation according to individual level of responsibility and guest feedback and complaint procedures.

Beverage Preparation & Service

• Serve beverages according to defined standards and measures in line with local license agreements.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to beverage recipes.
• Maintain efficient workflow by adhering to the sequence of service and standards detailed in the relevant F&B Standards Manual.
• Ensure all drinks transactions are processed, registered, and settled.

Bar Operations & Maintenance

• Setup the bar appropriately, ensuring visuals and merchandise are placed appropriately.
• Undertake opening, closing, and cleaning tasks as detailed on checklists.
• Coordinate with stewards to ensure the equipment and bar area are kept hygienically clean and tidy at all times and sufficient glassware is available.
• Ensure checking of expiration dates and that all perishable garnishes are stored and recorded in designated storage area.
• Maintain personal appearance and ensure uniform is clean and professional.

Compliance & Standards

• Complete day-to-day activities by following all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environment procedures, instructions, and controls.
• Comply with quality expectations and standards.
• Adopt a responsible attitude towards serving of alcoholic beverages to ensure safe consumption in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management.

Team & Culture

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to reach common goals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience as a Bartender in a 5-star hotel, upscale bar, or high-end restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, spirits, wines, and bar service standards.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and managing guest requests and complaints professionally.
• Good knowledge of bar hygiene, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service.
