Role Purpose
Deliver exceptional service while crafting high-quality specialty beverages in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Sales
- Welcome guests, inform them about specials or new items, answer questions, and accept orders and payments.
- Promote coffee consumption by educating customers about coffee and coffee products.
- Sell coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies.
- Sell coffees and coffee grinding and brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines.
- Demonstrate how brewing equipment operates.
- Generate revenues by attracting new customers and defining new and expanded services and products.
Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks.
- Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
- Learn about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply.
- Stock coffee brewing equipment.
- Maintain supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
- Perform inventory management and stock rotation.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and maintain supplies.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Call for repairs when necessary.
Cleanliness & Safety
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain a clean dining area by sanitizing tables and chairs and sweeping crumbs off of the floor.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes.
- Implement changes and maintain and improve the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage and/or retail experience within the last 2 years.
- Proven barista experience with demonstrated expertise in specialty coffee preparation.
- Experience in a luxury hospitality or upscale café environment.
- Previous experience working in diverse, multicultural team environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Strong cash handling skills and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Knowledge of latte art and advanced coffee presentation techniques.
- Multilingual abilities, particularly Arabic language skills.
Additional Information
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Report to the Outlet Supervisor / Outlet Manager.
