Role Purpose

The Barista prepares and serves high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring a satisfying coffee experience for every customer through exemplary customer service and deep coffee knowledge. The role requires skillful operation of espresso machines and other equipment, efficient order handling, and maintenance of a clean, organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages.
• Demonstrate proficiency in coffee brewing techniques and understanding of different coffee beans and their flavor profiles.
• Prepare a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages according to standards.

Equipment Operations

• Operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment effectively.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service and display strong communication skills when interacting with customers.
• Handle customer orders efficiently.

Workspace Management

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation.

Team Collaboration

• Work effectively as part of a team and follow operational and food safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Barista, preferably in a hotel, café, or restaurant environment.
• Good knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage preparation.
• Knowledge of different types of coffee beans and their flavor profiles.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee equipment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to handle multiple orders efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation.
