Role Purpose

Oversee the seamless execution of banquet functions, from setup through service and cleanup, ensuring guest satisfaction, staff adherence to service standards, and proper management of all hotel assets and linens.

Key Responsibilities

Setup and Service Coordination

• Oversee the setup of functions including checking the physical layout of the room.
• Provide servers with proper setup information.
• Post updated function sheets in the Banquet Kitchen.
• Prepare and post daily room assignments for servers including specific times for setup and service.
• Oversee the service of functions assigned by the Banquet Manager to ensure success and staff adherence to all service rules.

Host Relations

• Meet individual hosts and make yourself accessible to them for any needs that may arise.

Closeout and Documentation

• Complete the Captain's log book at the completion of the shift or function.

Cleanup and Asset Management

• Oversee the cleanup of all functions.
• Ensure the proper removal and storage of hotel linen and skirting.
• Oversee proper cleanup, handling and storage of all props and specialty china.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a five-star luxury hotel.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
• Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Active listening skills.
