Role Overview
Azure Infrastructure Senior Manager at Miral Destinations, Abu Dhabi. You will oversee the planning, development, management, and monitoring of all Azure-based systems and solutions, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy, and Information Security standards.

Role Purpose
Lead Azure operations across the organization, guide a dedicated technical team, report on cloud performance and consumption, drive automation and DevOps initiatives, and ensure robust security and compliance across the Azure landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of Azure engineers, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
Azure Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee and optimize the organization's Azure environment, including workloads, DevOps, DevSecOps, SaaS, and Databricks.
- Architect, deploy, and operate PaaS and related Azure infrastructure.
- Manage configuration and administration of Azure services (Web Apps, App Gateway, APIM, etc.).
- Monitor system health and define dashboards, logs, and metrics for visibility.
Project Delivery
- Plan, lead, and deliver Azure infrastructure projects within budget, timelines, and quality standards.
Automation & DevOps
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for Azure-based services.
- Implement automation using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Security & Compliance
- Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents, vulnerabilities, and risks across Azure environments.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and ensure timely remediation.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies, legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Manage Azure audits and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security and technology improvements.
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on Azure performance, KPIs, incidents, and trends.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- ITIL certification.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Azure Administration.
- Proven experience with Azure infrastructure, ARM, Azure AD, virtual networks, and cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, PowerShell, automation tools.
- Experience in enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- MBA or Project Management certifications (Agile/Waterfall).
- ISO27001 knowledge.
- 5+ years managing Azure projects.
- Understanding of GDPR, PCI, ISO, UAE security regulations.
- Strong knowledge of security governance and information security operations.
