AVP, Events & Sponsorship (Al Ain-Emiratized role)

Role Overview

Assistant Vice President, Events & Sponsorship at First Abu Dhabi Bank, based in Al Ain. This is an Emiratized role. The position implements and manages a strategic approach to corporate sponsorships and partnerships while assisting the VP in identifying and managing a portfolio of sponsorships to deliver against core business objectives.

Role Purpose

Develop and manage sponsorship, partnership, and activation programs that deliver strategic value to the organization. Ensure all sponsorship rights and benefits are integrated and utilized to support business objectives while maintaining brand integrity and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Governance

• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Demonstrate compliance with the organization's values and ethics at all times to support establishment of a value-driven culture within the bank.
• Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity.
• Function within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organizational and governance frameworks.

Sponsorship & Partnership Management

• Lead identification of opportunities for sponsorships and partnerships to deliver against core business objectives.
• Evaluate and analyze sponsorship requests.
• Ensure all sponsorships rights and benefits are integrated and utilized as business objectives.
• Develop productive internal relationships to capture and leverage all possible marketing and sponsorship opportunities.

Budget & Business Planning

• Manage associated budgets and business plans.
• Monitor administrative tasks to ensure efficient use of the events account budget.

Execution & Delivery

• Ensure all planning and execution documentation is prepared in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with branding team and other departments in relation to communication and media matters to ensure delivery of timely media services.
• Ensure branding of stand and any other branded deliverables aligns with branding guidelines.
• Deliver added value that can be leveraged across all marketing channels.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communication or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role or related discipline.
• Solid understanding of project and contract management, and planning.
