Role Purpose

The Automation Engineer develops and maintains automation solutions using modern frameworks and technologies, writes robust test cases, implements event-driven architectures, and collaborates across technical and business teams to deliver scalable microservices-based solutions in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Testing

• Write test cases using Gherkin language.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Java and JavaScript.
• Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) testing frameworks with Cucumber and Karate.

Technical Implementation

• Build solutions using Spring-boot and Spring-data frameworks.
• Develop microservices-based architectures.
• Implement Kafka-based event-driven integrations.
• Integrate gRPC-based APIs and Envoy proxy with gRPC transcoding.
• Work with NoSQL databases such as Couchbase and relational databases such as Postgres.

Project Execution

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with business process owners and internal project teams.
• Support Oracle Cloud or AWS Cloud environments.
• Work within Scrum process frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with specialization in programming.
• 4 years of experience as a programmer using latest technologies.
• Aviation or Airline projects experience is an advantage.
• PSS experience is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate, JSP, Servlets, Web Services.
• Testing frameworks: BDD with Cucumber, BDD with Karate, JUnit for unit testing.
• Cloud platforms: Oracle Cloud or AWS Cloud familiarity.
• Containerization and deployment: Docker, Jenkins pipelines.
• Databases: NoSQL (Couchbase preferred), Postgres, relational database management.
• API technologies: gRPC-based API integrations, Envoy proxy with gRPC transcoding.
• Event-driven architecture: Kafka-based integrations.
• Microservices architecture and development.
• Agile methodologies: Scrum process.
• Open source technologies.
• Team collaboration and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent English communication skills.
