Role Overview
Auto Technician at Abdul Latif Jameel. This is a hands-on service role based in a vehicle service center, reporting to the Chief Technician and Workshop Floor Manager.

Role Purpose
Perform repair services and mechanical work in the service center to achieve targets in customer satisfaction and gross service sales by adhering to company mission, vision, and values and applying standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Repairs
- Perform repairs as per customer request through proper execution and Chief Technician supervision within promised delivery time and estimated cost to meet customer satisfaction.
- Conduct preliminary inspection and evaluation of vehicles using mechanical tools and equipment under service Chief Technician supervision to assess exact damage and extent of repair.
- Execute center after-sales responsibilities including vehicle repairs and periodic maintenance to ensure all activities are carried out per company policies and procedures through effective communication and supervision.
Technical Problem-Solving
- Participate in resolution of high-technical problems such as NVH-related cases with assistance from Team Leaders through diagnostic testing and examination to ensure appropriate repair is done.
- Enhance technical skills through regular meetings and updates with Team Leader regarding service bulletins and daily functional activities.
Quality & Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure highly satisfied customers by executing a Guest Centric mindset to achieve high quality after-sales activities through effective monitoring by the Team Leader in accordance with service standards.
- Monitor and minimize back jobs and repeat repairs to achieve Fix It Right ratio targets.
Operations & Data Management
- Coordinate with Job Controller in feeding correct data, recording repairs carried out, and updating vehicle delivery status through Computerized Time Control Sheets to determine productivity and man-hour analyses.
- Maintain 5S standards within the service center.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent minimum.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in service.
- Advanced knowledge in automotive and mechanical repairs and maintenance services, preferably with certification from Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and its subsidiaries.
- Minimum Pro-Technician certification required.

- Languages: English and Arabic required.
- High supervision over operational activities; low authority over daily functional operation.
- Key performance indicators: Service Sold Hours & Productivity (Volume & Percentage), Fix It Right ratio (Percentage), Number of Back Jobs / Repeat Repairs (Volume, targeting zero), and 5S (Percentage in JS evaluation).
- The role has direct impact on service sold hours, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- The job holder has freedom to conduct preliminary vehicle inspection and evaluation.
- The role has a crucial strategic focus on managing after-sales targets including man-hour sales and net sales, and a supporting role in delivering service achievements through participation in center after-sales marketing campaigns.
