Role Purpose

The Quality Controller in the Service Department ensures all vehicles leaving the workshop meet manufacturer standards and internal quality benchmarks. The role requires post-repair and post-service inspections, identification of quality issues, and verification that all work meets required standards before customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Road Testing

• Conduct dynamic road tests on completed vehicles to evaluate whether all customer complaints have been addressed by technicians and fixed to manufacturer standards.
• Maintain and properly complete road testing checklists and attach them to the job file.
• Meet daily throughput compliance by conducting 20 to 25 vehicle inspections per day.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards during all road testing activities.

End Control Inspection

• Perform final vehicle inspection post-road test, including exterior and interior visual checks.
• Verify fluid levels and leaks.
• Check lighting and electrical system functionality.
• Verify functionality of dashboard indicators and infotainment systems.
• Assess tire condition and pressure.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, defect-free, and ready for customer delivery.
• Collaborate with technicians to report defects and verify corrections have been completed.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete inspection reports and update internal tracking systems.
• Flag critical issues immediately to workshop Manager or Team leaders.
• Maintain proper documentation for traceability and audit purposes.
• Report any customer valuables found inside vehicles to service advisors or Team leaders immediately.
