Role Overview

Audit - Senior Associate specializing in TMT (Technology, Media & Telecommunications) Audits at KPMG, Dubai. Position commences October 1st, 2024. Interviews begin June 2024.

Role Purpose

Oversee and conduct comprehensive audits within the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards while managing junior team members and delivering client solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Planning & Execution

• Assist in planning, executing, and finalizing all TMT audit assignments for Manager/Partner review.
• Perform higher-risk and nonroutine audit functions in the TMT sector.
• Conduct strategic analysis specific to the TMT industry.

Risk & Control Assessment

• Identify business and audit risks in the TMT sector.
• Assess the effectiveness of client processes and controls within the TMT industry.

Deliverables & Client Management

• Produce work for review, TMT consulting issues and offering potential solutions.
• Manage client deliverables, including attending meetings.

Methodology & Standards

• Ensure effective use and application of KPMG Audit Manual/Methodology, auditing standards, and relevant industry standards within TMT.

Team Leadership

• Provide day-to-day management of junior team members.
• Mentor new team members.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or completed A Levels or equivalent.
• ACCA: Minimum of 9 papers (F1–F9) completed.
• CPA: Completion of 2 papers.
• ICAEW: Completion of Professional Stage.

Experience

• 2+ years postgraduate experience.
• Recent experience in TMT audits.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts related to the TMT sector.
• Computer literacy.
