Role Overview
Audit Manager at Prysmian Group. The Audit Manager is responsible for independently leading and delivering complex, high-risk and strategic internal audit engagements that provide assurance over governance, risk management and internal controls across the organization.
Role Purpose
Reporting directly to the Director of Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance, the Audit Manager serves as the department's technical lead, ensuring audit activities are performed in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards (IIA), departmental methodology and best practices. The role is accountable for managing assigned audit engagements from planning through reporting and follow-up, while contributing to audit strategy, quality improvement, stakeholder engagement and the continuous development of the Internal Audit Function.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Engagement Leadership
- Lead assigned audit engagements from initiation through final reporting.
- Develop risk-based audit planning documents.
- Prepare detailed audit programs.
- Perform risk and control assessments.
- Execute audit fieldwork.
- Review evidence and document conclusions.
- Identify root causes of control weaknesses.
- Develop practical and value-adding recommendations.
- Conduct closing meetings with management.
- Issue high-quality audit reports.
- Perform follow-up reviews until agreed actions are implemented.
Strategic & High-Risk Audits
- Lead assurance activities relating to financial processes.
- Lead assurance activities relating to corporate governance.
- Lead assurance activities relating to enterprise-wide processes.
- Lead assurance activities relating to strategic initiatives.
- Lead assurance activities relating to capital investment projects.
- Lead assurance activities relating to digital transformation.
- Lead assurance activities relating to cybersecurity governance.
- Lead assurance activities relating to ESG and sustainability.
- Conduct fraud investigations and special assignments.
- Support executive management requests.
- Support Audit Committee requests.
Audit Planning & Risk Assessment
- Participate in the annual enterprise risk assessment.
- Recommend audit priorities to the Director.
- Identify emerging risks.
- Contribute to the development of the annual Internal Audit Plan.
- Monitor changes in the business environment that may require audit plan adjustments.
Technical Leadership
- Promote compliance with the Global Internal Audit Standards.
- Support the continuous improvement of audit methodologies.
- Develop audit templates and guidance.
- Maintain consistency in audit documentation.
- Advise audit team members on complex technical matters.
- Share best practices and lessons learned.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to audit team members.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP).
- Perform quality reviews of assigned audit files where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve audit efficiency.
- Support innovation, automation and data analytics initiatives.
- Benchmark against leading internal audit practices.
Stakeholder Management
- Lead audit discussions professionally and objectively.
- Communicate audit results clearly.
- Provide practical, risk-based advice.
- Maintain independence while supporting business improvement.
- Promote a positive assurance culture across the organization.
- Build trusted relationships with management.
Reporting
- Prepare and present audit reports.
- Prepare and present executive summaries.
- Prepare and present follow-up reports.
- Prepare and present root cause analyses.
- Prepare and present emerging risk assessments.
- Prepare and present audit progress updates.
- Prepare and present KPI reports relating to assigned engagements.
Acting Responsibilities
- Represent the Internal Audit Function in meetings with business units when delegated by the Director.
- Coordinate audit activities when delegated by the Director.
- Support Audit Committee reporting when delegated by the Director.
- Liaise with external auditors and co-sourcing partners when delegated by the Director.
- Support departmental planning and operational activities when delegated by the Director.
- Act as the Director's delegate when required.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
Experience
- 6–10 years of Internal Audit experience.
- Experience within a listed company, manufacturing, energy, industrial or Big Four environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience independently leading complex audit engagements from planning through reporting.
- Experience engaging with senior management and executive stakeholders.
- Knowledge of risk-based auditing, governance and internal control frameworks.
