Role Overview
Audit - FS - Manager at KPMG.
Role Purpose
Lead financial services audit engagements, delivering quality audit work and developing team capability while building and maintaining client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Execution
- Perform audit fieldwork on financial services clients across multiple industries.
- Plan and execute audit procedures in accordance with professional standards.
- Evaluate audit findings and develop appropriate recommendations.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor junior audit staff on assigned engagements.
- Provide technical guidance and quality control review of team work.
- Develop team members' technical and professional skills.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial services clients.
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned audit engagements.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to client management.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure audit work complies with professional standards and firm policies.
- Maintain audit documentation and workpapers in accordance with requirements.
- Identify and escalate audit risks and complex accounting matters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or ability to obtain.
- Minimum 5 years of audit experience.
- Demonstrated experience with financial services audit clients.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements.
- Advanced proficiency with audit software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional judgment and ethical standards.
Additional Information
- Travel to client sites as required for audit fieldwork.
