Role Purpose

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures to support hotel operations and guest services.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Assembly

• Assemble, install, and connect electrical or electronic equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and current National Electric Code and local codes.
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics.

Testing and Diagnostics

• Test and inspect electrical systems, equipment, tools, apparatus, and components to diagnose malfunctions.
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Test batteries in generators and emergency lighting.

Maintenance and Repairs

• Respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and appliances.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials.

Guest and Team Relations

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.

General Duties

• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Prepare and review information in a variety of formats accurately and completely.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree (preferred).
• At least 2 years of related work experience (preferred).
• Valid Driver's License (required).

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience using testing devices including ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and local electrical codes.
• Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Clear and professional communication skills.

Additional Information

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.
