Role Overview

Attender at NMC Healthcare. The role provides high-level quality care and services to patients and their families, introduces services, informs patients about prescription orders, and acts as a liaison between patients, clinic, and procurement team to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Role Purpose

To ensure seamless patient experience and pharmacy operations by managing prescription flow, coordinating between clinic and pharmacy teams, facilitating timely medication delivery, and maintaining compliance with quality standards and MOH guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Communication

• Provide proper information to customer queries regarding pharmacy.
• Ensure patients are receiving medications without any delay.
• Manage patients based on physical condition and treat them on priority.
• Behave and communicate professionally to patients.
• Greet customers entering the pharmacy and ensure each customer has been taken care of and nobody is left unattended or unsatisfied.
• If there is any delay in dispensing medicines, ensure staff are communicating the reason behind the delay of delivering medications to clients.

Prescription & Medication Management

• Analyse and identify missing prescriptions from the clinic to pharmacy and ensure 100% prescriptions reached pharmacies.
• Confirm staff receiving the prescription from the client without any delay.
• Make sure staff are dealing with clients in the best way by providing proper information at the right time.
• Ensure whether the delivery of medication is done on time; if not, inform the pharmacy in-charge and make it ready for the customer for home delivery.
• Convey the details of delivery to the client.

Operations & Coordination

• Effectively coordinate home deliveries with the help of delivery boy, bike messenger, driver, or any other means of delivery.
• Coordinate and ensure staff are cleaning and arranging medicines on the assigned rack.
• Coordinate with pharmacy in-charge and executive pharmacy-procurement in case of shortage of medicines and general products.

Quality & Compliance

• Assist pharmacy in-charge in implementing and improving quality SOPs in the pharmacy as per MOH guidelines and work closely with quality manager.
• Ensure the pharmacy is MOH compliant and all documentation is regularly updated and kept in the pharmacy.
• Observe sales staff on sales in general products; if any concern exists, escalate to senior management.
• Participate in monthly review meeting and come up with innovative ideas to improve service level in the pharmacy.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with corporate office regarding all pharmacy-related documents when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to speak and understand the local language.
• Basic English communication (especially helpful in clinics with diverse staff and patients).
• Professional behavior and communication.
