Role Overview
Associate Technical Professional - Mechanical at KBR. This role operates under direct supervision and involves the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures to mechanical engineering assignments.
Role Purpose
Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to mechanical engineering projects, making minor adaptations and modifications as needed. With deepening functional expertise, assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments involving conventional plans, investigations, and surveys with relatively few complex features for which precedents exist.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Evaluation & Application
- Evaluate and select appropriate engineering techniques and procedures for assigned projects.
- Apply standard engineering criteria and methods to mechanical engineering tasks.
- Make minor adaptations and modifications to established procedures based on project requirements.
Design & Engineering Support
- Assist in the design of larger and more complex mechanical assignments as experience grows within functional areas.
- Contribute to conventional plans, investigations, and surveys with established precedents.
Business Impact
- Perform job tasks that indirectly impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operational performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
