Role Overview
Associate Technical Professional - Electrical at KBR. This is an entry-level engineering position.
Role Purpose
Perform study, design, specification and services related to electrical and electronic systems under direct supervision, applying basic engineering principles to well-defined assignments with small organizational impact.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Specification
- Design and specify electrical and electronic systems.
- Apply basic engineering principles to system alternatives.
- Use judgment in selecting and adapting engineering alternatives.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Support power generation, transmission and distribution systems.
- Support power systems performance and control.
- Support cabling and wiring systems.
- Support lighting systems.
- Support motor control centers.
- Support communications systems.
- Support cathodic protection systems.
- Support grounding and lightning protection systems.
- Support heat tracing systems.
Project Execution
- Perform specific and well-defined assignments.
- Deliver services related to assigned electrical systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
- Certification as an Engineer-in-Training is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of basic engineering principles.
- Judgment in engineering decision-making.
