Associate / Principal Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

Associate / Principal Mechanical Engineer with Surbana Jurong Group, based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role leads mechanical design and technical delivery for major multidisciplinary projects in the Middle East.

Role Purpose

Lead mechanical design and technical delivery for major multidisciplinary projects in the Middle East. Develop and review mechanical designs, lead design activities, and coordinate mechanical services with other disciplines to deliver technically robust and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Delivery

• Develop and review mechanical designs from concept through detailed design and tender stages.
• Lead design activities and coordinate mechanical services with architectural, structural, electrical and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and technical submissions.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate mechanical services with multiple engineering disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• Ensure solutions are technically robust and compliant.

Qualifications & Experience

• 12+ years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Middle East design experience, preferably with Saudi/GCC projects.
• Strong consultancy experience delivering medium to large-scale building and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience leading mechanical design from concept through detailed design and tender stages.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, ventilation, heating, plumbing and drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Strong knowledge of relevant international standards, codes and Middle East regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and relevant mechanical design and calculation software.
• Strong technical leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination experience.
