Role Purpose

Lead commercial teams across all project phases to drive effective commercial and contractual outcomes. Serve as the primary commercial interface with senior Contractor and Consultant representatives, providing strategic client-facing support while protecting and maintaining the Employer's commercial and contractual interests.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage the commercial team across all project phases.
• Lead commercial and contractual activities on behalf of the Employer.
• Act as the primary commercial interface with senior Contractor and Consultant representatives.
• Act as the key commercial interface between project stakeholders.
• Provide strategic commercial advice and robust recommendations to project leadership.

Contract Administration & Governance

• Oversee the administration of contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Manage cost, change, claims, and contract administration.
• Review and negotiate commercial submissions, variations, and contractual correspondence.
• Support contract administration and determination processes.

Commercial Management & Change Control

• Manage and resolve complex commercial, contractual, and claims-related matters.
• Manage variations and change management.
• Drive timely commercial decisions to support project objectives and delivery milestones.
• Protect and maintain the Employer's commercial and contractual interests.
• Provide commercial advice and protect the Employer's interests.

Cost & Financial Management

• Manage cost reporting and financial management.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and analysis.
• Manage final account negotiations and settlement.
• Support cost analytics and benchmarking.

Risk & Claims Management

• Monitor commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage claims management and entitlement assessment.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution through effective negotiation and stakeholder management.

Stakeholder Management

• Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders while ensuring commercial governance.
• Ensure successful project delivery through proactive commercial leadership and control.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is mandatory.
• Minimum 10+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
• Extensive UAE experience in the delivery of residential mid-rise, mixed-use and community developments.
• Proven experience leading commercial teams across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrable post-contract expertise within consultancy, PMC, or client organizations.
