Associate / Assistant Professor - Prosthodontics at Ajman University, College of Dentistry, Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The position begins Fall semester 2025-26.

Role Purpose
To deliver specialized instruction in Prosthodontics, conduct high-quality research, supervise dental students in clinical training based on evidence-based dentistry, and contribute to academic and community initiatives aligned with institutional values.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Student Success
- Deliver courses to students in specified discipline areas of study.
- Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to sustain student success.
- Maintain relationships with students that are conducive to learning.
- Provide academic advising for students.
- Supervise dental students in clinical training on evidence-based dentistry.
Research & Scholarship
- Conduct high-quality research in your own field and publish research outcomes in reputable journals and conferences.
- Supervise student projects and thesis dissertations.
Curriculum & Instructional Management
- Organize and manage instructional resources, course outlines, and community networks.
- Actively seek out methods, procedures, and resources to best achieve course and lesson objectives.
- Demonstrate familiarity with the Credit Hour academic system.
- Contribute to academic program planning and implementation.
Academic Culture & Relationships
- Ensure a respectful and culturally sensitive learning environment in all college-focused activities.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships across the organization and community.
- Motivate and inspire confidence in others—students and colleagues—to overcome limitations to personal growth and success.
- Work effectively with diverse team members.
Institutional Engagement
- Contribute to college activities including membership of various college committees.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. from a reputable university.
- Minimum three years' experience with a master degree in Prosthodontics.
- Outstanding teaching record.
- Outstanding research and publications record in top journals.
- Adequate experience in supervising student projects and thesis dissertations.
- Excellent record in community service and scholarly activities.
- Eligible for practicing as a specialist or consultant as per Ministry of Health & Prevention - UAE regulations.
- Record of collaborative and interdisciplinary research is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Supervise student work.
- Conduct independent research and publish in reputable journals and conferences.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational software.
- Knowledge of academic program planning and implementation.
