Role Purpose

Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising all mechanical works on high voltage substation projects. Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and health and safety requirements throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Inspection

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervision of all mechanical works related to 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV, and above substation projects.
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.

Contractor & Resource Management

• Verify contractor resources, manpower, equipment, and construction methodologies.
• Monitor construction progress against approved project schedules.

Coordination & Collaboration

• Coordinate with civil, electrical, protection, SCADA, and commissioning teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering and construction supervision.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on 132 kV and above High Voltage Substation Projects.
• Experience working for a consultancy or site supervision organization is preferred.
• UAE and GCC utility project experience is highly desirable.
• Previous involvement in testing and commissioning activities for substations is preferred.
• Roads and highways projects experience is preferred.
• Bridges, interchanges, and underpasses projects experience is preferred.
• Cycle tracks and active mobility infrastructure projects experience is preferred.
• Urban development and transportation projects experience is preferred.
