Role Overview
Assistant Relationship Manager - CMB Assets at Emirates Islamic Bank. This is a support role within the Commercial & Business (CMB) banking division, responsible for assisting the Relationship Manager in portfolio management, credit analysis, and documentation coordination.
Role Purpose
Support the Relationship Manager in managing the business banking portfolio by preparing credit proposals, coordinating facility documentation and transactions, and maintaining strong portfolio quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Analysis & Proposals
- Prepare credit proposals, financial spreads and supporting credit analysis for the Relationship Manager's review.
- Conduct financial analysis to support credit decisions and facility structuring.
Customer Liaison & Documentation
- Liaise with customers to obtain financial information, documentation and transaction requirements.
- Review all application documents to ensure they are complete, accurate and in compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Process and review facility letters and security documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Handle any discrepancies and work with the appropriate parties to resolve them.
Facility Management & Structuring
- Support the structuring, documentation and utilization of credit facilities.
- Coordinate with internal departments to complete facility documentation, limit setup, drawdowns and trade-related transactions.
- Monitor account conduct, facility utilization, excesses, past dues, risk triggers, covenants and other credit conditions.
Operations & Transactions
- Manage daily customer transactions, payments and settlements while supporting account profitability.
Compliance & Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready credit files.
- Ensure compliance with applicable internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulations and policies related to trade finance and cash management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum two years of SME or Corporate Credit Analysis experience.
