Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum

• Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in supply chain management and related areas using effective and student-focused pedagogies.
• Implement innovative, student-centered, and technology-enhanced teaching practices.
• Contribute to the review, development, and enhancement of the supply chain management curriculum, ensuring alignment with contemporary academic and industry trends.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of research methodologies in teaching and scholarly work.

Research and Scholarship

• Conduct, publish, and disseminate advanced research in supply chain management, operations management, or a closely related specialization.
• Develop and maintain a strong research portfolio in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
• Publish in high-impact academic journals.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects.
• Seek external research funding where appropriate.

Student and Professional Development

• Participate in academic advising and student mentoring.
• Supervise research projects.
• Foster engagement with industry and community partners to support student internships and professional development opportunities.

Professional Representation and Service

• Represent the University of Kalba in national and international conferences, academic forums, and professional associations.
• Contribute to college and university service, including committee work and governance activities.
• Engage in outreach initiatives that support the university's mission and enhance its societal impact.

Qualifications & Experience

• PhD in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university.
• At least one year of experience at the Assistant Professor level or in an equivalent teaching role.
• Strong publication record in reputable academic journals or clear evidence of potential to publish in leading journals.
• Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Teaching and research expertise in one or more areas of supply chain management, such as logistics and transportation, procurement and sourcing, operations management, supply chain analytics, sustainability in supply chains, risk management, or global supply chain strategy.
