Role Purpose

Contribute to the college's teaching, research, and engagement mission by delivering excellent accounting instruction to both graduate and undergraduate programs, publishing peer-reviewed research, and fostering connections between the university and the business community.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Course Development

• Design, develop, and deliver graduate and undergraduate courses in Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and related areas.
• Demonstrate excellence in teaching courses including, but not limited to, Managerial Accounting, Computerized Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and related subjects.
• Engage in innovative and technology-based approaches to teaching and learning.
• Assess student learning outcomes and course effectiveness.
• Provide academic advising services to students.

Research & Scholarship

• Conduct high-quality research aligned with primary interests in Accounting.
• Publish research outcomes in reputable journals and conferences.
• Maintain an outstanding record of peer-reviewed publications in top-tier Accounting or related journals (SCOPUS, ABDC, ABS).
• Supervise student projects and dissertations.

Institutional & Community Service

• Participate in committee and other service tasks at the department, college, and/or university levels as assigned.
• Actively engage in promoting the growth and visibility of Ajman University.
• Provide consultancy and other industry-facing services to Ajman University partners and members of the business community.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ph.D. in Accounting obtained from a reputable university, preferably an internationally ranked institution accredited by AACSB.
• Two or more years of teaching experience in an internationally reputable university, preferably accredited by AACSB.
• Demonstrable record of excellence in developing and teaching Managerial Accounting, Computerized Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and related courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Outstanding record of research and peer-reviewed publications in top-tier Accounting or related journals (SCOPUS, ABDC, ABS).
• Demonstrable record of supervising student projects and dissertations.
• Excellent record of professional and community service.

Skills & Competencies

• Professional Accounting qualification from a reputable accounting body such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA (preferred).
• Professional experience in Accounting (preferred).
• Expertise in Managerial Accounting, Computerized Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing.
• Innovative and technology-based teaching approaches.
• Collaborative and interdisciplinary research capability (advantageous).
