Role Overview

Assistant Operator - Finishing Machine at Al Ghurair.

Role Purpose

To set up, operate, and monitor finishing machines to produce bound, stitched, folded, and cut products to quality specifications and maintain equipment in working order.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup and Operation

• Set up and operate Kolbus perfect binders.
• Set up and operate Muller Martini saddle stitchers.
• Set up and operate folding machines.
• Set up and operate sewing machines.
• Set up and operate Wholemberg gathering machines.
• Set up and operate cutting machines.
• Configure automatic die cutting, foiling, and embossing machines based on job specifications and material type.
• Set up and configure Brausee folder gluer machines based on job specifications and material type.
• Set up and configure Champion bag fabrication machines based on job specifications and material type.

Quality Monitoring

• Monitor output for binding strength, stitching accuracy, fold precision, and cutting alignment.
• Conduct visual and manual checks to ensure product meets quality standards.

Maintenance

• Perform routine cleaning of machines.
• Follow the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Identify and escalate mechanical issues or misfeeds to the foreman or maintenance team.
