Assistant Merchandiser

Role Overview

Assistant Merchandiser at Apparel Group, responsible for ensuring products appear in the right store at the right time and in the right quantity.

Role Purpose

Coordinate product availability, sales performance, and range planning across retail operations to optimize inventory placement, profitability, and commercial opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare Retail Pro reports, Sell Thru reports, and other merchandising reports such as consolidation sheets and product breakdown reports.
• Analyze every aspect of best and worst sellers, including selling price points, colors, and styles.
• Analyze previous season's sales and report on current season's lines.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all necessary reports and records.
• Report competition's offerings and analyze opportunities to the Brand team.

Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

• Liaise with stores, logistics, and warehouse departments to ensure product supply meets demand.
• Coordinate with buying team on product issues including orders, repeats, and damages.
• Assist in range planning, sales analysis, and deliveries.

Merchandising & Planning

• Optimize the volume and profitability of product categories.
• Work closely with the Merchandise Planning team on product range planning to maximize commercial opportunities.
• Ensure the right product mix at sub-category and price point level.
• Prepare merchandise plans and information required for product range presentations and reviews for buyers and brand managers.
• Gather information relating to customer reaction towards products.

Document & Data Management

• Skillfully manage processing of various Retail Pro reports and invoices.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all documents entrusted.
