Role Overview
Assistant Manager – Regulatory Reporting at Mashreq, based in the UAE. This position is open to UAE Nationals only.

Mashreq is a banking and financial services organization operating in the UAE.
Role Purpose
Prepare and submit timely, accurate regulatory reports for Mashreq UAE operations and subsidiaries in compliance with Central Bank of the UAE guidelines and reporting frequencies. Manage GDL and Cash Reserve returns, ensure data integrity across reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports for Mashreq subsidiaries and UAE operations in compliance with Central Bank guidelines and timelines.
- Prepare Gross Dirham Lending (GDL) and Cash Reserve returns for MB UAE.
- Prepare vouchers for GDL and Cash Reserve related to MB UAE.
- Post transactions in Flexcube.
- Advise on required entries for MB UAE reporting.
Data Management & Validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and reconcile data for reporting.
- Address data issues with relevant departments to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- Monitor regulatory changes and update reporting processes accordingly.
- Conduct compliance assessments and support audits through proper documentation and timely responses.
- Prepare returns related to Mashreq Subsidiaries for Central Bank of the UAE and Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA).
Process Improvement
- Drive automation and process improvements in regulatory reporting in partnership with Technology.
Qualifications & Experience
- Accounting or Finance graduate.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in accounting or finance function of a banking or non-banking financial institution.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Clear and effective communication of complex regulatory concepts.
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficient in data validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
