Role Purpose

To assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Housekeeping department and deliver exceptional products and services within brand operating standards, supporting the Executive Housekeeper to rejuvenate the room, public area and laundry experience while upholding Six Senses values and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Standards

• Ensure all set policies, procedures and best practices are in place and rigorously enforced across the department.
• Administer all housekeeping and laundry facilities and maintain a secure environment for all guests.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, and ensure all hosts maintain the same in line with brand and statutory requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all safety, security, emergency and hygiene procedures.

Guest Experience & Service Recovery

• Interact with guests and hosts in a professional, courteous and positive manner.
• Proactively seek feedback from guests and hosts.
• Own an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.
• Effectively carry out service recovery in response to guest complaints or charge hosts to do so to the satisfaction of guests.

Facilities & Resources

• Develop thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the resort, including room types, locations and layouts.
• Continuously assess room amenities, services and products to remain relevant and aligned with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
• Undertake stocktakes and storage assessments at required times to ensure all stock is on hand, properly stored and in line with Six Senses standards.
• Ensure purchasing practices meet the requirements of the Six Senses sustainability platform.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with Front Office, Guest Services, Reservations and F&B to determine and meet guest needs.
• Oversee the overall smooth operation of the Housekeeping department in coordination with other resort departments.
• Maintain clear and effective interactions and communications between departments under this role's control and other departments within the resort.

General Duties

• Perform any additional duties given by the Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel or Business Management.
• Minimum five years' experience in a similar luxury hotel operational role.
• Proven track record of results in customer satisfaction, operational excellence, host satisfaction, revenue and profit.

• Familiarity with OPERA hotel systems and knowledge of hotel/resort policies on room allocation.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Some knowledge of local language and customs.
