Assistant Chief Steward

Role Overview

Assistant Chief Steward at Hilton, providing strategic oversight of stewarding operations across the property while delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

Role Purpose

Oversee all stewarding operations to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality service delivery. Support the Chief Steward in maintaining inventory control, equipment functionality, sanitation standards, and team performance while optimizing departmental costs and upholding regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Inventory

• Lead daily coordination, distribution, storage and maintenance of essential items including china, glassware, linen, and silver, ensuring accuracy and availability for all operations.
• Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving strategies to support operational efficiency and profitability while maintaining quality standards.

Equipment & Facilities

• Oversee the security, maintenance, and optimal functionality of all food service equipment.

Sanitation & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and oversee compliance with sanitation procedures to ensure all food and beverage areas meet the highest hygiene and safety regulations.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing.

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and mentor team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
• Recognize achievements to build, retain, and engage a high-performing team.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or University Degree.
• Experience in hotel management or stewarding operations.
