Role Overview
Assets Manager - Fare Collection System at AtkinsRéalis. Lead the oversight, performance management, and lifecycle optimization of AFC systems across the bus/transport network, ensuring revenue protection and seamless integration within the ITS ecosystem.

Role Purpose
Oversee end-to-end automated fare collection systems and ensure their performance, availability, security, and seamless integration with broader intelligent transport systems. Protect revenue, maintain transaction accuracy, and drive continuous improvement across the AFC ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
System Oversight & Operations
- Oversee end-to-end AFC systems including validators, onboard devices, POS, and back-office clearing systems.
- Ensure system availability, transaction accuracy, and fraud prevention controls.
- Monitor contractor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and revenue assurance requirements.
Maintenance & Technology Management
- Review and approve preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Manage system upgrades, obsolescence planning, and technology enhancements.
Integration & Coordination
- Coordinate integration with AVM, OCC/TCC, and mobility platforms.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory frameworks.
Audit & Incident Management
- Lead audits, inspections, and major incident resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, IT, or Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 10+ years' experience in AFC/ticketing systems in metro, rail, or bus networks.
- Experience in large-scale ITS and transport operations and maintenance projects.
- Strong expertise in EMV/NFC, clearing systems, validators, and fare policies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and data governance.
- PMP, ITIL, or equivalent certification preferred.
