Artificial Lift Systems Field Specialist - Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP)

Role Overview

Artificial Lift Systems (ALS) Field Specialist – Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) at Baker Hughes. This is a shift-based field role.

Role Purpose

Execute operations of ESP equipment and surface equipment in the field while complying with all integrity, quality, safety standards and client-specific regulations across multiple oilfield locations.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Equipment Operation

• Install and run ESP equipment, including inspecting, modifying and repairing pumps, motors, cables and relevant downhole equipment at contractor's base.
• Make connections at surface and operate ESP equipment to company satisfaction.
• Install, operate and maintain Y-tool and VSD systems.

Pre-Commissioning & Start-Up

• Carry out all pre-commissioning checks and tests to ensure successful start-up and continuous operation of ESP equipment.

Maintenance & Repair

• Repair any breakdown and perform maintenance of ESP equipment.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide expertise for troubleshooting, safety precautions and related matters.
• Perform downhole troubleshooting of ESP systems in the field.

Collaboration

• Participate in all technical events, including supporting the Baker Hughes contract engineering team.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5 years of experience in ESP.
• Technical-related degree (Diploma or higher).
• Experience installing, operating and maintaining Y-tool and VSD systems.
• Experience performing downhole troubleshooting of ESP systems in the field.
• Industry experience and product line training required in ESP.
