Artificial Lift Systems Field Specialist - Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP)

Role Overview

Artificial Lift Systems Field Specialist – Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) with Baker Hughes. This is a shift-based field role executing operations of ESP equipment and surface equipment.

Role Purpose

Execute the operations of ESP equipment and surface equipment in the field while complying with all integrity, quality, and safety standards and adhering to client-specific regulations across multiple fields. Participate in technical events and support the Baker Hughes contract engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Equipment Operations

• Install and run ESP equipment, including inspecting, modifying, and repairing pumps, motors, cables, and relevant downhole equipment at the contractor's base.
• Make connections at surface and operate the ESP equipment to the satisfaction of the Company.
• Install, operate, and maintain Y-tool and VSD systems.

Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning

• Carry out all pre-commissioning checks and tests to ensure successful start-up and continuous operation of ESP equipment.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Repair any breakdown and perform maintenance of the ESP equipment.
• Provide expertise for troubleshooting, safety precautions, and related matters.
• Perform downhole installation and service troubleshooting of ESP systems in the field.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical-related degree (Diploma or higher).
• 3 years of experience in ESP/Artificial Lift.
• Experience in service and downhole work preferred.
• Experience performing downhole installation and service troubleshooting of ESP systems in the field.
• Industry experience and product line training required in ESP.
