Area Head - Abu Dhabi Island 1

Role Overview

Area Head - Abu Dhabi Island 1 at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), based in Abu Dhabi.

Role Purpose

Manage a network of 7–10 branches in a defined area, directing and guiding branches to achieve sales and satisfaction targets, maximize profitability, and expand the NBAD footprint. Enhance retail banking product sales and marketing through direct and cross-sell opportunities while ensuring efficient customer service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Network Management

• Work closely with Regional Head to implement distribution, network, and sales and services strategy.
• Agree overall budget and KPI targets with Regional Head as well as budget and targets per customer segment for the area or cluster.
• Delegate budget and targets to Branch and Cluster Managers in the area.
• Explore and gather all necessary details to create new business opportunities within the area in coordination with other Business Lines.
• Gather all details to open, relocate, or remove a branch or ATM/CDM in that area and provide business justification.

Performance Management & Delivery

• Deliver the agreed budget and KPI targets in that area by managing, supporting, and monitoring branches, branch and cluster managers, and sales and service teams performance.
• Define goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team.
• Ensure effective implementation of the NBAD performance management process.

Operations & Compliance

• Implement departmental policies, systems, and procedures so that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.
• Deliver standardized quality, cost-effective service with high standard customer experience across all branches in that area.

Customer & Community Relations

• Handle customer complaints in coordination with Head of Customer Experience.
• Represent the bank in the local community in the assigned area.

Talent Development

• Develop talent within the team by providing guidance and coaching to achieve defined goals.
• Maintain clear focus on Emiratisation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with experience in the branch network.
• 10 years' relevant experience in the banking sector.
• At least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the branch network.
