Role Overview

Application Engineer - Thru Tubing Services at Weatherford UAE. The Thru Tubing Applications Engineer drives growth, promotion, and technical application of Weatherford's Thru Tubing product line, including Fishing, Milling, Packers, and Well Intervention solutions.

Role Purpose

Combine strong technical expertise with commercial and customer-facing responsibilities to provide technical support throughout sales and service processes, develop job designs and operational programs, prepare technical and commercial proposals, support field operations, and identify new business opportunities. The role works closely with Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, and customers to develop technically sound solutions aligned with customer objectives while supporting revenue growth, market share expansion, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Application

• Provide technical and application support for Thru Tubing Fishing, Milling, Packers, and Well Intervention products and services.
• Develop job designs, technical recommendations, and operational programs to meet customer requirements safely and efficiently.
• Support job planning, execution, troubleshooting, and service quality in collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Product Line Management.
• Provide technical and commercial support to customers and internal teams.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a key technical interface with customers, understanding their requirements and developing effective Weatherford solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Engage with different organizational levels and maintain strong customer knowledge.

Sales & Business Development

• Support sales and business development through technical proposals, tenders, quotations, customer presentations, and opportunity development.
• Promote Weatherford Thru Tubing technologies and services to support revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify new business opportunities and provide market intelligence on customer requirements, projects, competitors, and market trends.
• Evaluate market opportunities and support business strategy implementation.

Documentation & Knowledge Development

• Prepare technical reports, job documentation, presentations, application guidelines, and training materials.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to field personnel and junior team members, supporting competency and knowledge development.

Compliance & Safety

• Maintain high standards of QHSE, ensuring compliance with Weatherford policies, customer requirements, applicable regulations, and the Company's Rules to Live By.
• Demonstrate safety leadership, proactively identify risks, and stop operations when there is an immediate risk to personnel, the environment, equipment, or service quality.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate across Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, Quality, and HSE to ensure effective service delivery.
• Support continuous improvement, business strategy implementation, performance reviews, and Product Line initiatives.
• Maintain continuous technical and professional development and complete all required functional, compliance, and business training.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong technical understanding of Thru Tubing applications and operations.
• Experience in Thru Tubing, Coiled Tubing, and/or Snubbing operations.
• Exposure to Well Intervention products, services, and applications.
• Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, job design, or technical support within the Oil & Gas industry.
