Role Overview
Application Engineer-Technical Specialist at Cummins Arabia, supporting the Power Generation business unit.
Role Purpose
Execute technical tasks at the sub-system and component levels for current and future power generation systems. Serve as a key technical liaison coordinating activities across product line engineers, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure high-performance product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Gather input from technical team, sales team, project team, and supplier partners to inform quality product decisions.
- Provide recommendations that guide product decisions across internal and external stakeholders.
Project Execution
- Apply engineering principles and existing experience to drive day-to-day project tasks and technical coordination.
- Maintain quality expectations throughout project delivery.
Technical Documentation
- Prepare precise engineering documentation and specifications compliance records.
- Develop technical calculation sheets to capture technical learnings.
- Support cross-functional teams through clear documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Prior work experience within Saudi Arabia (KSA) or GCC region preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Cummins products or generator sets is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Translate customer needs into technical specifications and verifiable acceptance criteria.
- Build internal networks and collaborate across diverse cultures.
- Explain complex technical topics clearly to varied audiences.
- Manage complexity and analyze high-volume technical data.
- Drive results under tight project schedules.
