Role Overview

Aldar Education seeks a Teacher - MFL (Spanish & French) to join our growing family of schools in the United Arab Emirates, starting January 2027. Based in Abu Dhabi, this role supports our mission to provide inclusive and innovative learning experiences across our network of 31 schools serving over 38,000 students.

Role Purpose

To inspire, engage, and challenge students in their formative years by creating a nurturing and play-based learning environment. To deliver high-quality teaching and inclusive learning experiences that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and support students' academic, social, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Develop a clear understanding of the curriculum and its requirements.
• Organize classroom provision and learning resources to create displays that encourage a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Plan engaging lessons collaboratively with fellow teachers that meet curriculum requirements.
• Be reflective of classroom provision, sessions taught, and progress made, adjusting environment, planning, and curriculum accordingly.
• Meet with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists if required.
• Ensure the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes are embedded throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and Data

• Take responsibility for the progress of a class.
• Meet requirements for assessment and recording of student development using Target Tracker.
• Use data provided by assessments to influence further planning, provision, and intervention.
• Provide feedback to parents and carers on student progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behaviour Management

• Follow the school's behaviour policy.
• Manage classes effectively using approaches appropriate to students' needs in order to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
• Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary within the school's behavioural policy.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources, and special events linked to that team.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student achievements and well-being using school systems and processes such as CPOMS as appropriate.
• Be a good communicator at all levels.
• Commit to developing positive relationships with all members of the school community.
• Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
• Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
• High level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
• Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age, and ethnic background.
• Positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
