Role Overview
Advisor Safety, Health & Environment at AECOM in Abu Dhabi. AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm delivering solutions that transform communities and solve complex challenges worldwide.
Role Purpose
Lead comprehensive safety, health, and environmental programs across the project portfolio within the construction supervision team.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures that comply with UAE regulations and international best practices
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Conduct comprehensive hazard assessments and risk analyses on construction sites to identify potential dangers and recommend effective mitigation strategies
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to ensure full compliance with UAE labor laws and organizational safety standards
Culture & Leadership
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all project teams and operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in safety, health, and environmental management within construction or infrastructure projects
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws, international safety standards, and environmental regulations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
